Accommodation
About Castelnau des Fieumarcon
The Castelnau des Fieumarcon is an entire hamlet in South West France, we have reserved the whole village for our wedding celebrations!
There is a substantial amount of accommodation available in the village to sleep around 70 guests, and we encourage as many of you to stay as possible. There are 12 different gites (each with its own garden and outside area), and as we have the run of the town there is no closing time or need to worry about booking taxis if you choose to stay on site - you can just walk down the cobbled streets home.
We will allocate accommodation in the village to people once we have an indication of interest, numbers and preferences, which you will tell us as part of the RSVP form here. We cannot guarantee accommodation for everyone but we will try and sort out the best available option for all, and will let people know after the RSVP date in March 2015.
Prices
Accommodation for the whole wedding weekend is 125GBP per person. It is the same price for a 3 night stay over Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, or for a 2 night stay over Friday and Saturday nights! So please join us for all 3 if you can.
There are also camping pitches available for 40GBP for the weekend. We will provide 5 basic tents on the site. If more people would like to camp you will need to supply your own.
We will provide further information and payment details once we have all of the RSVPs confirmed.
Alternative accommodation
Everyone is of course welcome to stay away from the site and there are plenty of charming towns and hotels locally if you would prefer to be looked after in a hotel (or if you prefer complete peace and quiet!). The towns of Lectoure and Condom (!) are closest to the village for alternative accommodation. Please email us at daveandclaire@outlook.com and we can supply you with some ideas, we will also send you this list if you respond that you want to find your own accommodation on the RSVP form.
Facilities
The village has a swimming pool, tennis court (we'll supply rackets), numerous BBQ's, ping pong, internet access, indoor and outdoor games.
The village, however, has no shop or restaurants you will therefore need to be aware that for times outside of the 3 wedding events you will need to self cater (all gites have kitchen facilities). If you would like any alcohol outside of the wedding times you will also need to supply this yourself. If you have a car this is very easy, Lectoure is a 10 minute drive and there is a large supermarket there. Otherwise its about 20euros to get to the supermarket in a taxi.
